fountain for the market square at ybbsitz

During the reconstruction of the market square traffic was reorganised, the square itself was resurfaced. Sepp Auer's work in the framework of this overall concept focused on a fountain at the centre and a smaller drinking fountain at the bottom of the square. The fountain made of Herschenberg granite has been positioned along the square's longitudinal axis. It has a surface area of 3.4m x 3.4m and the basin stand 80cm high. At the centre of the fountain there is an upside down pyramid of steps which forms a separate basin rising above the rim of the fountain. Water runs from the upper to the lower basin, turning into a sheet of water which can be lit from inside the fountain. At the other end of the longitudinal axis, indicated by a narrow granite gully, there is a drinking fountain (40cm x 40cm x 80cm) also made of Herschenberg granite.
