Information

The recreation and multipurpose hall of the Hadersdorf a. Kamp elementary school is a pyramid with a light cupola set onto a square piece of wall. An opening of the space outwards to the surroundings, to the cosmic space, and a new orientation in the enclosed space are achieved with the positioning of zihale skylight-symbols with or composed of the following objects: a) condor flying- and light-object, east-west orientation, north-south, sky-earth, brass 120cm x 180cm. b) Hadersdorf skyline, lower edge of pyramid's east-facing roof, sun symbol dawn east, brass sheeting 100cm x 400cm. c) flooring slab, set in the centre of the space, symbols' orientation east-west, north-south, brass 29.6cm x 29.6cm. The exploitation of light from the sun or flooring slab are achieved using halogen lamps from the condor flying object, the name for which comes from Adalbert Stifter's studies Der Kondor. The balloon conveyed by the condor flying object are reminiscent of childhood.
