Near me Near me

Lukáš Houdek

Born 1984 and studied Romance languages at Charles University in Prague. In 2010, he began developing an idiosyncratic approach to art photography in the Czech Republic by focusing his work on his own identity in confrontation with society and his approach toward different social groups. In addition to his main themes, in 2012 he began working on a series on the expulsion of the German population after 1945 and the sometimes extremely violent redrawing of the Czechoslovakian borders. These projects are built around archive materials and the testimonies of contemporary witnesses.
