Anne Schneider

Born 1965 in Enns, Austria, Anne Schneider lives and works in Vienna. She studied at the Akademie der bildenden Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Vienna with Michelangelo Pistoletto. Since 2000, she has taken part in many international solo and group exhibitions. Most recently, her works were shown in the Salzburger Kunstverein (2014), the Kunsthalle Mainz (2014), and Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz (2008, 2013). For Anne Schneider, sculptures can be seen as psychodynamic constellations that have been frozen in space. In the artist’s multi-faceted work – ranging from classical sculpture, photography, video, and painting to room installations – she attempts to define spaces or what is left of them.
