Johanna Tinzl

Born 1976 in Innsbruck and studied at the Universität für angewandte Kunst (University of Applied Arts) in Vienna and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Stefan Flunger was born 1969 in Zams, Austria, and studied art history at the University of Innsbruck. The collaborative works of Johanna Tinzl and Stefan Flunger are based on a conceptual approach in which they analyze the relationship between the formal and socio-political structures that unfold around terms such as power and space, technology, and politics. They always develop their ideas based on comprehensive research, which they translate into site-specific interventions and room-filling installations.
